The limit\u00a0for treating is set very low at 200 EPG and designed to be safe. The following points should be observed\u00a0so that there are no unpleasant surprises:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All horses from the same farm should be included in the concept.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0The vet must know the herd and recommend selective deworming. Not all farms are equally suited for\u00a0selective deworming.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Young horses under the age of 4 are not yet suited for selective deworming. They are dewormed\u00a0regularly.<\/li>\n<li>In the first year of examination, 4 dung samples are analysed and in the subsequent years at least 2.<\/li>\n<li>At the end of the year, before putting them into the stables, all animals are treated against roundworms\u00a0and tapeworms.<\/li>\n<li>Once a year, the presence of large strongyloides should be checked at herd level (ask your vet).<\/li>\n<li>Only freshly-collected dung may be used and this must be immediately brought to the post office\u00a0before midday.
